Wanted to do this awhile ago but thought it might affect the exit of engine heat flow.
but after seeing it done on powers car in evo i thought what the hell. it can be put back to normal if needed. a wee down side is driving vision[might be why this wasnt the way they came of the line like this]

Have you redrilled and bolted it? I think it looks better and must increase air flow over the engine, of course it also presents more area for flys and stones!

When i went to do mine the bottom of it hits the injector rail. I think thats what it hit as i tried it last year and im sitting on my sofa trying to rememeber what it did foul on.

Anyway how did ya manage that prob? Cause i wanna do the same to mine.

Take the m6 bolt out of the flap side then sit the bonnet back it to place and lift to best position.
youl find it hits coolant swirl tank [think thats what it is, silver tall thin tank with brass top]
then lift a cm above and mark both sides for drilling.
ive also put some armflex tape on the underside of bonnet incase of rubbing against the swirl tank.

Mine is different now but I think it was the injector rail - pretty much the first thing I did on the Sag was opening it up.

Strange how they are all a little different as mine is open but a friends one will not open at all because it hits the rail.

Right so basicly remove the flap completely then drop it back into the whole on bonnet then fit it into the best place for the elevated look like yours right?

hi justyn
first take off the the middle bonnet [the 1 wit the two flaps].
then remove the single black bolt from the second flap that your ajusting.leaving the 2 other silver bolts alone.
then put the bonnet back onto car.
then you should be able to move the flap up and down[if its the same as mine]
next mark up for drilling.
when drilling start with 2mm then 5mm and finally 7/8mm. be careful
once hole ok ul need to counter sink the hole edge so the m6 bolt head is hidden.
now repeat on other side to make solid. complete with locking nuts

But however ya look at mine it will still foul the injector rail however ya try to lower it. Sadly! Im fairly savy but i cant see anyway i can lower it with it bloody fouling.
Pity!
