Would you buy a Tamora without A/C?
Discussion
Yes, I did. And that was quite a few years ago.
Have I ever regretted the lack of air con? Yes, but only once - in a very hot French traffic jam. The rest of the time I've been glad I bought the best condition car I could find.
To be honest, though, I've got air con in other cars, and I still prefer having their windows open. I guess it depends how much you like air con.

We've done exactly the same. Only time we really wanted the air con was on the way to Classic Le Mans last year and stuck in traffic Otherwise it's fine without it.Have I ever regretted the lack of air con? And if you get a good car at the right price, Str8six are doing retro fit with all original components for about £2k or so.

I've air-con in the Sagaris and I must admit I run it about twice a year to actually cool down the cabin (rather than giving it its monthly blast to keep the oil moving around it)
Depends where you live, in Ireland there's never a real need for air-con
Spot on, rarely use to actually cool the cabin, but just to keep it lubricated. Drive 98% of the time with the window open listening to the rear speakersDepends where you live, in Ireland there's never a real need for air-con

I've never really understood all the stuff people go on about with heat soak. It has to be a really hot day for my gear stick/hand brake to get even a bit hot; normally the car doesnt get hotter at all than any other car I've owned. Going back to the original question then, my ar doen't have a/c, and I cant say I've ever missed it.
You'll find people without it saying it isn't needed, those who have it and it doesn't work correctly will say its not worth having. Personally I would not get a modern car without aircon, it is so useful all year round. So no, I wouldn't buy one without. You can get it retrofitted though (£2k).
For those who say it doesn't work properly, get it fixed. I had to turn mine off last weekend as lady Targa was getting too cold due to the icey blast.
The only thing I would change is to add an additional vent to the right of the driver.

I would agree, it is worth having, i get pretty bad heat soak and when you are on the continent, or the rare hot summers day here in the UK it can get really bad, that's in a T350c though.
Mine is actually knackered at the moment, i've adjusted the flaps etc as per Grahams bible but no joy. It's freezing the tubing up to the manifold in the near side wing but i can't tell if it's going any further.
Anyone got any ideas? i don't want to start changing parts if it's further along the line and this is a common fault.
ETA pic of offending item.

I have seen a really nice one but it doesn't have a/c. This would normally be a must have option for me, but the car is so nice, I'm tempted to overlook it.
Comments and thoughts please....

Why oh why do people who are looking to buy a car with no bloody roof go on about how they must have A/C? Comments and thoughts please....

If it's a good car and you like it, get it bought, get the roof off permanently and enjoy

Very true. No point listening to T350 owners saying a Tamora needs air con - that's just their way of justifying their choice of the wrong car. If it's a good car and you like it, get it bought, get the roof off permanently and enjoy

(In all fairness, I wouldn't entertain a T350 or Sag without air con).
Removing the cats and fitting a heat sink make cabin temps much more tolerable too.

Plus, it's just another thing to fix at some point....
