My new Tamora was delivered last night (my 3rd TVR after a Tuscan and a Cerb) and in typical TVR fasion, the lcd is blank.
I have tried removing the pod and re-fixing the ribbon connectors, and used switch cleaner but to no avail. The seller said it had started to play up two days previously and told me the display was going dim, but if you tap it laightly it gets brighter. but this morning its all black.

Not sure what to do next....any ideas?

By the way - the car is great apart from that

Buy a new one if you can find them, about £150. Easy to fit. Common fault but they normally drop lines first before going blank.

I would also check first the contrast/brightness setting in the POD menu. You can select different levels of brightness for none/side/dipped lights.

If you are near dunstable I have a spare (that has a couple of dropped lines) if you want to confirm yours is kippered

I cant check the bightness (lights on or off) because its totally black all of the time. Im bordering on sending up to Cath Mason as Im not sure whether its just the lcd panel or summat else..

Sorry, i can't help you with the panel issue, but in time i'd be interested in your Tam/Cerb comparison, mine was a 4.5 so i do notice the relative lack of torque, other than that it's happy days.

Sorted the problem, it was a loose connection at the dash ECU. Now it just occaisionally goes dim until you tap it lightly, suspect another loose connection in the pod.

Will post some comparisons when Ive driven it some moore
