We were at santa pod yesterday and my wife and i did a 12.54 and a 12.59 quarter mile in our sag. Just wondered if it was a good time or not as it was our first time there. All we have done to the car is decat, RG slash rear exhaust and mapping by Paul Austin as Austec. Yes I know my wife nearly beat me so no jokes please lol :-)

I was unable to attend this one as car is having a little work carried out. I remember a few years ago running very, very early 12's in my 3.6 T350c at North Weald. Standard tyres and standard engine other than De-Catt. Then on the same day some of my run's would be very late 12's.

There is defenetly a fine art to getting a good start and a smooth run all the way to the finish. To get a very good time you can't afford to so the car any mechanical simpothy.

Am I right in thinking that this was mainly a TVR shoot out, all types of Tivs and especially the big boys fighting it out, ie 4.0's 4.3's, 4.5 Speed Six's & the LS engine boys.

Would be very intresting for all to see the times recorded by various standard and non standard engine's.

Even better if we have lots of vids.

I'm not the best at English and punctuation 'n' all that, but as the above statement is written, I would say that it reads that your missus was faster !!!!!

biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

(some smart alec will come along and say it needs the word 'respectively' inserting.... )

Yes thats Paul Chance in the awesome LS3 Cerbera.
Has ran a 10.9 at Shakey.

Obviously too much power or some shock loading occuring to overcome the Raceproved driveshafts!

Brummie,

Speak with Warren at Topcats, me and Paul have some nice motor sport drive shafts. I think they are custom made by GKN.

To the OP Matt. I talked to you and your missus just as you were leaving and I thought your times were very good. Not that I have much more experience than you (2x Santa Pod visits). Post your timeslip results on the General TVR forum, title of 'Pod times and car info'.
