Wheel arches - sealant

Had a little clean round yesterday and noticed I'm getting a bit of flaking start in a couple of wheel arches and also in the bottom of rear diffuser. Time to get it jacked up and slap a new coat on, but is there a recommended sealant to apply ? Any tips for preparation so I don't have to do this too often ?

Tin of Carplan Tetraseal. Did my rears last week. Drys to a really good finish.
