Collection - what should I look for?
Discussion
Hello old chap. I am an ex Land rover/ Honda Motor Trader, There are many things you need to look for when collecting your car, especialy scratches and dents, it is not uncommon for a dealer/ valeter to damage car whilst in compound then to repair, go over with a fine tooth come dont worry about upsetting dealer as anything whatsoever cannot be done after you have left premisis, if you are not happy about anything turn down car or at least get in writting that they will do work, also check mileage again not uncommon for cars to be over 80miles and believe me the mechanics thrash the nuts of cars on pre delivery inspection then they reset the clock( at the dealership ) before it goes over 80 miles after that they cannot reset, there are many many more things to look for but boss is standing nearby so i will try to get back on later, if not email through profile,
P.S. take a bankers draft with you instead of switch of bank transfer it will dramaticaly shorten the paperwork time and hassle, also never pick up car on a rainy day unless you are collecting from inside showroom as you wont see marks, dont forget to check glass as well

Thanks chaps.
I know all the basics, it's the T350 specifics I'm especially after. Such as the headlight thing - thanks. They've just replaced one headlight cover while respraying a bad piece of TVR's handiwork so I'll check it's dust free in there (which is why I've waiting a while to collect).
I understand TVR and don't expect perfection, but I'm sitting here looking at a fat banker's draft thinking it should buy me something without gluey deposits all over and no bits falling off (for a few miles).
