Hi all, just had my headlight covers off to re seal, what a pig of a job but results turned out great and well worth doing. Also made some front splitters which I think look ok, took about 3 hours in total and cost nothing.
What do you all think.

I remember having to seal the rear light covers on my old Chim - pig of a job and the slightest error means sikaflex going everywhere.
I do like the carbon effect on your lights - how did you do that?

I need to get round to doing mine but the fear of cracking the glass is putting me off, what did you use to cut the old silicone? or how did you get the covers off?

thanks john

Cover came off easy, just keep cutting round with a small Stanley it will start to lift, just take your time but should only take about 15 mins to get both off. Scrape all the excess sealant off, then use sikoflex 221off eBay £12 to re stick. Put masking tape round your paintwork first. One of mine fit perfect and dropped straight on other was nightmare, was about 4mm out and had to be pushed down with bits of wood off the garage roof till dried. So get this sorted before you commit to sticking down of it will slide off down the side of car, cover the inside of glass and make a bloody mess as I found out. Otherwise easy job. :-)

My opinion, the lights look great but the splitters and exhaust panel don't seem to gel

As above, love the lights. smile

I'd always thought the rear splitter would look great in a different colour, until I saw it done previously - prefer body colour - sorry frown

I agree too.

Lights look brilliant. Hope it doesn't lift when hot though.

Agree that the carbon effect looks great, how easy was that to do?

Easy to do, bubble free carbon sheet off eBay £10. Not lifted yet, fingers crossed as I don't fancy doing it all again.

What a great little mod it looks the business, I'll have a look at that for the Tamora as and when it requires a re-seal
