If would appear my Speedo transducer has given up. I've taken a look and the one on the car is a Baumer product, part no. Ihrm 12p1501

They seem to be coming out at ~£120 a piece. Is this the going rate or is anyone aware of places selling cheaper?

(if this is the price - than I'm happy - just thought I'd check before buying though...)

Thanks

Wow it does seem very expensive for a basic speed transducer. I bought one for my race car's STACK system and that was £52 which I thought was ridiculous for not a very complicated piece of kit. Have a chat with Steve or Dick @ SBD Motorsport Ltd. 0208 391 0121. TVR used MBE for their enine management on the Speed Six. They have a huge experience in engine management and peripherals. They're the main MBE supplier to the after market arena. MBE have gone all corporate since their inception in a shed in Bradford in the 90's so you can buy direct.

Is this the part which sits on the diff and sends the signal to the dash ECU? If so then they are around £70 from TVR Power.

Very fancy. Mine was replaced around 6 months from new in 2004 and has been fine ever since so I'd suggest just opting for the standard item unless you have one of those cars which seems plagued with electrical faults (usually earth related if so).

Interesting. Thanks for the link. The existing one on the car (the failed one) is a replacement part - so the car has had at least 2 in its life time. I think i'd be willing to try another 'type'.
Thanks.
