Can't find a description in the manual even though I should probably know this by now, but the only two 'red' tail lights illuminated when the lights switch is fully rotated, are the lower ones . The two higher 'red' lights are not illuminated. Should they be or are they just brake lights ? I would have thought they would be additional tail lights as the lower ones are quite small.

Nope top two are brake lights, lower lights are tail lights + fog on the RHS and reverse light on the LHS. I would guess at there being a minimum height for brake lights and nothing for tail lights.

From memory, yes you are correct, the lower two lights are the only ones to light up when side/head lights are on. The top 4 lights are brake lights and indicators.
Reflectors/Reversing/fog and iluminated tail lights are all at the bottomthumbup

Well I was Captain Slow I'm afraid Nick. Although I was comfortably doing the speed limit coming back from MK on the 421 the other night, I was swiftly overtaken by a Ferrari on a foreign plate nearing a ton - with no regard for whether any of the cars up ahead in the darkness could have been Police cars. Good luck I thought.
