Had my 1st real "I hate my TVR moment" today. After work still dry and forecast is st for the week ahead, so i thinks i will give the T350 a quick run out, all fine until i gets to the next village and starts pissin down, no problem 'cos even Tiv's have wipers dont they? Well mine did for about 1 fking minute then the drivers wiper arm decided to stay at full sweep position.

Pulls in to a car park to investigate, wiper arm is slipping on the spindle, cadged a pair of pliers (i know i know) and try to tighten the Allen screw which holds the arm onto tapered spindle gets a bit on it then .....it slips and a make a 2 inch scratch in the paintwork between bonnet and bottom of windscreen. All in a bloody downpour . Thats when the Basil Fawlty moment kicks in.!
Anyway ended up driving the 4 miles home in left hand drive mode.!!!
Wiper arm taper is goosed and has been bodged before on investigation ,not happy me.
ETA this was the 1st time i have even used the wipers!!

Sandy.

I sympathise! I'm sure everyone is privately going through their own version of this.

Mine? Rear break stuck on when heading for a weekend in the Peaks. Even managed to burn my hand on the disk when I took it home to check what was wrong. I'd gone two miles!

Don't you just love em.

TVR's are much closer related to the female form than all other cars - put on earth for you to admire, enjoy, spoil, lust after ....... and try the patience and depth of wallet of us all.

Good luck getting it sorted - a smart repair should suffice hopefully.

Only a small niggle. All will be sorted includoing little scratch. You will grow to love your T350c and the more st it may or may not give you, you will find yourself loving it even more.

These cars test you every now and again, be patient and the rewards and the grin factors will cont. for years to come.

Trust me a had a sorted T350c and it still remains an awesome car to date!

This could have gone so wrong... Lucky you!

On my first track day, after having the entire car checked, I was refused because 1 of my engine mounts had melted away...

On the other hand I got to drive the TVR power 4.5 Sagaris like 'I had stolen it'.

Nothing as dramatic for me, but more embarrassing to the marque.

While at Silverstone classic i happened to be near my car when a young lad was admiring it. "would you like to look in?" i ask, at the exact point the drivers door decides not to open. Had to climb in the passenger side and use the button on the dash. Two minutes later it worked fine and has done so ever since. Guess she didn't like the look of the youth
