Hi, does anyone know of any upgrades to the roof panel fixings on a 350t?
Rear fixings are fine but my roof whistles like a bh at anything above 50mph.
All seals appear to be good so all I can assume is the catches on the front of the panels are not really up to the job?

Mine has 3 catches, front, side and rear, not a sound out of it upto 100+

Probably of no help as I don't know where my additional front catches came from (they were on the car when I got it), mine are ugly as hell so interested if you find any nicer looking alternatives.

NormSKI, are your front panel clips across the front of the panels, or the sides? The later cars had clips on the front and they work much better. They should be quiet up to over 100mph if so.

Hi Targarama,

Clips are on the front of the panels about two inches from the corners. Like I said all the rubber seals are in good condition so don't know why they are so noisy. Someone suggested I try some silicone spray to try creating a better seal with the roof but I don't see this making much difference if I' honest.

I get this on my passenger side panel. Once fitted if you look outside the car at the corner of the panel (the one in the centre of the roof) I bet it's not fluch with the roof and theres a small gap between the bottom of the panel and the roof on that corner! It can be adjusted to get this to stop but it takes a lot of faffing about!

You could try replacing the seal around the lid which seats exactly over the lip. It is the same width as old fashioned door draught excluder you get on a roll.
