Reverse light switch - where do the cables lead to?

Hi everybody.

I need help after a little "accident" while taking the engine out.
Can anybody tell me, wher the cables (blue and black) from the reverse light switch on the gearbox lead to? I shared them off, since I forgot to pull the plug from the switch, and I cannot see where they were supposed to be going.

I did the same when I removed my engine/box.The wires go under the rubber gaitor and go into a black connector behind the electronic control boxes which are in front of the gearstick hole.The connector is a two piece type and you will have pulled the the wires out.I had to buy new pins to solder on and push back into connector.Hope this helps,Steve.

I decided to pull the plug off the switch and do the repair works from the inside, since it will be much easier to do with the center console removed, than from down under the car.

Gearbox and engine are back in place already
