Tamora Key/immobiliser Crisis
Discussion
I replaced the battery in the immobiliser key fob today and a small brass looking piece about 2mm sq came off the printed circuit board inside the plastic shroud. its not the micro chip, Anyway I've not yet tried getting in the car but if it doesn't work: (Prior to that I haven't noticed any rattling within the key fob)
Can I replace the key with a new chipped key and give the dealer the relevant codes from the key card to input on to the chip in the key
Or am I stuffed and have to buy the whole kit again, ignition etc
I do have a spare fob and key but obviously I don't want to be without a spare just in case say something happens to the key...AGAIN!
As unusual any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated

Easy job, you can add another fob but they may all need to be re-programed together along with the alarm ECU when all the FOB 'slots' have been filled. Carl Baker at Car & Bike or Raceproved can do it. Can I replace the key with a new chipped key and give the dealer the relevant codes from the key card to input on to the chip in the key

I believe you can re-program (add) them yourself too if you know how to access the program mode via the key fob. You need a fob that works to put the system in learn mode. Not posting on here how to do it I will email you.
The TVR alarm uses a 16 digit alpha-numeric code on that red card, you can have up to 7 fobs, the 'used' fobs are indicated by the stars next to the numbers on the sticker, thus if you have had 2 fobs the new fob needs to go on slot #3, three fobs means slot #4 needs to be used.

TVR Power do this .... http://www.tvrpower.co.uk/store/slug/ignition-barr... but I don;t know whether those two fobs have the electonics inside them or they are just blanks that you transfer your own electronics from your broken key...
