Maclaren F1 wing mirrors

Not wishing to sound like an anorak but......
I was looking at a Maclaren F1 at the weekend and noticed that they share the wing mirrors with the Tamora/Sagaris. Anyone know the history or if they were originally from another marque before macca or TVR got hold of them.

VW Corrado mirrors on the production cars the same as the TVRs. The prototype F1 had high mounted bespoke items that didn't make production.
