The 30k Fernhurst T350 has sold
Discussion
I would love to know too. Fernhurst T350 pricing seams to be absolutely bonkers, i should know as i bought mine from them.
They have the one that has sold that was 29k and another at £28k which are beautiful looking cars. However they sold a 2005 car with about 15,000 miles on it but in need of an engine rebuild for just £14,000 thats crazy!! whowever got that car got an absolute bargain. Factor in £5k for a rebuild and another £2k (if it even needed it) on other stuff and you would have a lovely 2005 T350 with 15,000 miles for £21k!!
Surely they could have done the work and retailed the car at £26k-£28k.

Thankfully for me I can give you an upate on that one as I was the lucky person!!Full engine rebuild has been carried out by TVR Power, and their body shop repaired a bit of kerb damage at the front and did a front end respray. Fantastic job on engine and the body. Had a new clutch put in whilst the engine was out as well.
Wasn't quite as simple as all that though as there was a lot of corrosion to the fusebox and the back of the dash, so the box had to be replaced and the dash sorted. Strange thing to find as all the chassis is corrosion free, no sign of leaks and none of the carpets have water marks, so bit of a mystery that one. Other things changed were as expected for a car that must have been in long term storage - fuel pump, battery etc. Anyway, TVR Power have sorted it all out and its back on the road.
Was all a bit of a risk for me as its my first TVR and without seeing it running, quite a lot could have gone wrong - now I can't stop driving it (even if it is at less than 3500 rpm for the first 1000 miles

Very rude question but how much do you think you will have spent all in to get it back to A1 condition?Full engine rebuild has been carried out by TVR Power, and their body shop repaired a bit of kerb damage at the front and did a front end respray. Its OK..its important to get the values out there! In the end, it cost £25k so not necessarily the massive bargain, but my reckoning was that I could have bought one for £20k-ish and the engine could have let go tomorrow, which would have meant £25k+, so that was my target. Plus I've had a lot of extra bits done (including front end respray and minor repair, plus a long list of "post-storage" issues which were sorted by TVR Power), and now I have a great car with a 3 year warranty on the engine, which is important for my first TVR experience.
Having said that.... once I checked through the receipts, the fuel pump didn't need changing, just the relay and pipes to/from, and yes, you've guessed it, the pump let go yesterday
. I've got a couple of questions on that, but I'll post another topic.Gassing Station | Tamora, T350 & Sagaris | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
