Would welcome anyone's thoughts on some starting problems with my T350c.

Prime the pump, turn the key and don't touch the throttle at all, she starts perfectly every time and idles with no missing, mucking about or generally misbehaving.

Touch the throttle at all during the start up procedure and I have 2/3 minutes of missing and having to balance the throttle to keep her running. After that she settles down. (Sounds a bit like the wife).

A further complication happened the other day on the way to Goodwood revival after filling up with fuel. Started the car at the pumps, didn't touch the throttle, missing all over the place. Stop the car in a layby, started up again after a few seconds and everythings fine.

I'm thinking there may be an ECU glitch and the software needs some care and attention or is there some sensor with an intermittent fault that can cause this type of behaviour.

Any thoughts welcome.

what number of rpm do you have when you start it cold? I have had a similar problem until last week. I went back to my TVR dealer and he sorted it out by making sure it idles high enough. Also, it only stalled when I push the pedal a little (say around 1000 rpm), if I take it up to 1500/ 2000 there is no issue. I do have to keep an eye it for the first 300 yards, though...

Do the throttle bodies need adjusting? If some throttles opened fractionally late, would that cause the symptoms you describe?

On start up, I am seeing about 750 to 800 rpm rising to 900 when warmed up.

I don't think it is the throttle body adjustment as the problem is very specifically on start-up when touching the accelerator.

I definitely think it is something to do with the engine management system getting 'confused' by an incorrect sensor reading or something. Like I said, after a few minutes, the engine is running as smooth as a nut!
