Well after 6 years of ownership i have finally fitted sun visors to the Tamora.
It always amazed me a car of this performance should overlook these?
Being slightly below average height, meant i have always struggled when the sun has been very low in the sky, i`ve tried hats and sunglasses but never been truly happy.
I`m not sure if any later models came with them fitted? (mines a 2003 btw)
After much sourcing and enquiries the answer was on my own drive, in the form of my lads MGTF idea they are the perfect size, fitted with a extension flap, and easy to fit, drilling two holes each up into the front roof/screen panel and securing with small nuts and bolts, mainly hidden by the front roof seal.
When the car is on display with the roof off, i just push them all the way down and you can`t see them at all from above, if you were worried about how they look.
I don`t know why i waited so longbiggrin

How do other Tam owners get on? Anyone else fitted visors?

Good idea silly i will nip out later and take some, i should have taken them when fitting for a "how to" if i thought it would have got a favourable response?

I'm fairly tall, and only occaisionally suffer. Worse when the roof is off, but then the sun comes over the windscreen rather than through it so the visor you have added may not help. Piccys would be good.

The standard ones are comically small anyway!

Hi Guys, not forgotten the pics, buts the weather here on the south coast is a bit blustery with heavy showers, the car is in the garage under its cover, i will pull it out when the weather picks up, and update the thread then smile

Latest model Tam (2006) and none fitted, so I'll add myself to the list of those wanting to see pics and a guide....

Were these factory fit or fitted by a previous owner?

Hi Lee

They were fitted by the previous owner, they look pretty straight forward to fit using self tapers.

I used "S" visors to my Tuscan Vert, D&C trim recovered them in leather and stitched them to match the interior.
The curves fitted the "A" frame pillars quite nicely.

I think they're Ford related but getting something the same size is the way to go I guess. Any manufacturer will do as long as you can mount via a self tapper etc. I'm out in the car this afternoon so I will measure them but I think the TF visors will be fine.

Better late than never? biggrin

Finally took some photos of the sun visors over the weekend. As already mentioned i have drilled and nut/crosshead and bolted them. I`m not sure how long a self-tapper will last with the vibration and general use? Very easy to fit, let me know what you think, certainly came in handy again on Saturday, just wish i had done it earlier in my ownership.

T66ORA,

Thanks for posting the pics. I guess there more effective than the ones you get in a T350 especially with the low sun around now.
