Has someone got a bargain there or is there something more to it than meets the eye?

I think that there are three threads on it. Needs various bits of work inc cyl head work. Probably about a fair price.

It is my old car I sold it two years ago the engine was in good health then but had had no rebuild
the interior was shabby but servicable
the shocks etc were new along with the clutch and i know the next owner kept the service history at Dulfords so it has been maintained but I know it was fairly heavily ragged by the owner after me
But the interior has obviously been redone but not the faded carpets !
But at 6k or so and an engine rebuild on top its getting fairly top heavy pricewise for the miles

I agreed to buy this at racing green earlier this year , I agreed a load of stuff to do some paint , carpets , new rad . They sent it away and had the paint done but when it went to workshop for head gasket it needed a load spending and they could not do the deal at the price .
The car does look stunning and will look great if sorted but it will not be cheap unless you have the skills and know how yourself

What exactly does that mean? Driven quickly? Never serviced? Never warmed before serious use? Not polished every time it has been driven? Genuine question as I don't understand the term.

I would say (and I think you know and are just being pedantic) he means ragged as in thrashed from cold and at all times, bouncing off the limiter etc.
I'd suspect none of us TVR owners are saints when it comes to driving these cars but the majority of us have mechanical sympathy and drive hard only when the car and conditions allow.

I had it after and yes I drove it hard but not all that often and only for a couple months in the summer when the oil tempreture would actually go beyond 40c I looked after it and always warmed it through properly before any usage, I spent a further £2k on it just before I sold it too. Just because of my youthfulness doesn't mean I'm going to drive like all the other boy racers. Fantastic car on country lanes and comfy on the motorways (except for the noise with decats fitted)

And get rid of that Italian tart trap in your drive you know you need the full English Tvr not some salami for breakfast.
