clean the fibreglass same way as the bodywork.. the engine, run degreaser over everything, wash down...
use a metal polish on anything shiny or metallic, use armourall on anything plastic... :/....

I'm pretty much in the same position with the Tamora. I've taken off the bonnet which allows easy access its dead easy to get off only 2 bolts and pull the bonnet stay off. Jobs planned or done:

Powder coat power steering bracket(looking a bit scabby)
Take off and buff Alloy expansion tank & dry sump tank.
Coat manifolds(already done)
Clean chassis and general tidy up
Chrome cam cover
Replace cam cover bolts with stainless steel
Air box off and paint
Replace old rubber hoses with silicone

These are just afew jobs to tidy up the engine bay. I've only had the car 6 months and its the first chance I've had to address all those things you tend to do with new toys its currently on axle stands with the wheels off! I've up graded the disks and pads which I did yesterday and put the dash back in and seats! I guess I went a bit mental with the spanner

Wow Lee, nearly as sparkly as the paintwork! If you have a spare garage space, you are welcome to have mine to look after as well.

Hi Mike

Its on the back burner at the minute as still doing the aluminium washer bottles.

I have a spare cam cover, plug cover and a Fuel rail now. I will get them polished etc when I get time and see if anyone is interested on an exchange basis.

Issue will be the cost people will accept due to the time involved.

Cheers. Lee.

Similarly to Sanquin, mine is also off the road for a few months, but i'm going to tidy the wheelarches - so what can i do when the car is jacked up, probably not much i guess, clean the wheels/arches/ brakes/suspension/chassis - i'll trawl the search for the various products, but have i missed anything off the list?

Hi Bob, hope your well mate!

Appart from around 1 - 2 hours per corner and lots of elbow grease I used / did the following:

Used GUNK Green in a small pump spray with a 50p tesco pot scrubbing brush
Then GUNK with non stick scourer
Repeat unitl all grime and grease gone
Hot water and sponge / scourer
wipe and clay bar to remove over spray.

Results below from clean alone without using a jet wash! After this I blacked the arches and touched up the chasis.

Hope this helps. Cheers. Lee.

Hi Lee, I'm well thanks, hope you're okay (apart from the million water bottles you've made/got to make).

Thanks for the info that's exactly what i want to achieve, as said by others your car is just mint, thumbup
