Sensor in the footwell - T350C

Quick question - what is the sensor in the driver's side footwell that looks like a MAP sensor? - it was wiring but no pressure tube attached to it. Why would I want to measure the pressure in my footwell? and doesn't that make it a FAP?

I think it's the barometric pressure sensor. By all accounts it doesn't do that much.

That would make sense - could use it for weather forecasting i guess...
