19" Upgrade - yes/no?
Discussion
Hi
I use 19" wheels on my Sag and got the suspension upgraded to Nitrons at the same time.
Advantages
- Looks better
- I found the driving to be slightly more stable (probably the suspension changes)
Disadvantages
- I've heard people say that 19" makes steering less stable. Not had that myself, but
that's what I've been told
- You have to be more careful if you drive hard or on seriously bumpy roads as you could
potentially catch the wheel arches more. Again, not a problem I have found (I'm a slow
driver), but it has been commented on in the past.
Cheers!

I think you would be okay going up to 19" even without the Nitrons IMHO.
It was just a comment I remember from a thread on the subject once, I can't
validate how true/false it is
Have a chat with one of the TVR specialists in the UK - Str8Six, RP, Power etc...
and see what they suggest.
Best to get their opinions and then see if anyone else has any other experiences,
but for me with my 19" wheels, they work fine.
Hope that helps!

Depends on the wheel. My 19s are slightly heavier and much stronger than the spiders, and it transforms the driving experience. Such better weight and feel in the steering compared to the spiders. It really does make that much difference.
Sags don't need the bump steer upgrade though?

It's standard on the Sags out of the factory, and is for Tamoras and T350s.

Bump Steer Upgrade For Tuscan, T350 & Tamora
This is a steering upgrade which reduces the cars tendency to react to bump steer, by moving the steering rack and changing the arc in which the steering arm operates in.
It is especially helpful in lowered cars.
Fitted - £395+vat

i got my wheels powder coated for half of that and in Porsche basalt black too. A really really professional job aswell. Place near gatwick. Highly recommended.
I have the Power 19" rims by the way which i think look great in black and handling is fine with standard suspension. Cheers.
