Hey guys....

Help please!

My passenger side seat belt is near enough always jammed making it into a single seater TVR.

I have just gone outside and pulled back to trim and popped a little gt85 down the sides but still no real change.

Any clues or is it a question of just replacement?

Looks like my first trip to Str8six is needed ... Hope they can fit me in.

10 weeks in and still loving it......

Mark

Make sure you are parked on the level and gently and repeatedly attempt to free it. They do release eventually!

Check the black housing, has it cracked at all? I had this issue and had it replaced, better safe than sorry!

Hey thanks for your quick replies......

You are a wealth of information as usual.

My car is always parked on my sloping driveway ..... Never really thought about it before but you might have solved it.

Too cold and dark to go out now and try but....... will in the next couple of days.

Fingers crossed.

Now just need to get the bonnet open!

Cheers for all your help.

Mark

The T350 mounting point for the seatbelt reel doesnt allow the reel to be mounted in the vertical and horizontal planes very easily and adjustment is critical. In my experience I have found that the slightest bit out of alignment causes the belt to stick annoyingly to the point where I need to find a left hand bend in order to release the damned thing!!

I think it's quite a common thing. One of mine crumbled, so I got a replacement from a breaker. The other just jammed (thankfully whilst I was having the battery changed, so the guys freed and readjusted it for me. I would add it to the list of things to do at your next service.

You have only gone and solved it!!!!!!

Pulled onto a flat piece of road and ....... It looks all ok for now.

Went up to to Jason at str8six today for my mot........ First time there and he was a diamond.

Had the car for about twelve weeks and noticed on Sunday that the mot had just run out!

Called Jason at 9 this am and he said no problem.... Bring it straight up and he would do it while I waited.

Now that's what I call service.

Going back in the new year with a list of jobs that need doing. Bonnet release is slipping through..... Alarm needs de tuning as it keeps going off etc.

So three hours driving in total with driving rain and ice today and I'm still alive!

Anyone know if the alarm is something that I can do or is it a pro thing?

Thanks to everyone again.

Mark

What you could do is fit some race harnesses which look great and are better than seatbelts !

Yep mine does it too, once on flat land though it sorts it's self out.

Had a few interesting moments when I've been edging up to a blind t-junction on a hill and the damn thing locks up!

Hi Mark - that is the old MOT - was done whilst at the old factory in the summer - thought I would combine it with the other jobs. I always had the same problem with belt. Richard at Track v Road told me that it is just due to the incline - as others have mentioned. Glad to hear you are still enjoying it. Best person for all electrics and defo alarm is Carl Baker - also down in Hampshire

I had this issue when I first got my T350, John at Sussex TVr knew exactly what caused it and fixed it permanently for me very easily. Something to do with the angle of the mounting needing 'modifying' I think.
