New Windscreen fitted price

Just had a new windscreen fitted by Autoglass and they did an excellent job, they got the windscreen from Power and it took them 4 hours to do.

Paid my excess £60 then the fitter showed me the bill for the insurance £1300

no bloody wonder insurance prices are going up.

The price for the windscreen is £279 + vat from Power

Sometimes the final invoice is discounted retrospectively, or before it is submitted. Some invoices are not subject to this discount if they are categorised as 'special' jobs (usually classic/vintage or supercars).

1300 quid is setting the bar very ambitiously by anyone's standards

Someone is making a good profit on that.

I can't remember the exact amount but mobilewindscreens charged me approx £500 last year to replace the screen in my Sag.
