Water sensor is screwey on my T350, apart from the dash telling me there is an error (code 128) the water temp is all over the shop when driving. Where abouts on the engine is this sensor and how easy is it to replace? I can't imagine having to book the car in to get this done.. :/

I just changed this on my speed six cerbera, It is straight forward and can be done at home if I can do it you can, trust me.

I ordered a new switch from TVR Power and fitted it in a few minutes. I will post some pictures for you shortly. The switch is below the air box on the drivers side below the third intake on the side of the engine. Unscrew it and replace with the new one it really is that simple.

You will need to remove the air box to get access, again this is not a difficult thing to do.

Old switch below

New switch in place

Fitted to the block below the second from bulkhead air intake with the plug attached.

There are 2 sensors on the same side of the engine. One feeds the ECU and fans and is under the airbox. This one has the plastic electrical socket attached directly to it. The other feeds the dash and is further forward, and has the plug socket on a short fly-lead.

If your dash is playing up but your fans are working ok then it sounds like the latter one needs replacing.

You can see the 2 types here:

I didn't, but it's a good idea to run it up to temperature with a bit of paper towel around it to make sure it aint leaking before you put the air box back together. Oh and check that the fans come on and reduce the temperature.
