Hi Everyone,
Sorry if I don't know the routine - just joined. For the 2nd time the button that disables the outside door and boot switches has failed in the on position. I then have to use one of the "tricks" to get back in the car. The only time this button gets pressed is when a passenger gets it wrong trying to get out - so I just want to disable it. Does anyone know which wire to pull from the connector at the back of the switch?

p.s. because I can't resist. Message to ALT. Sorry to rain on your parade but I picked my Tamora up 23-01-02, 2 days before you. Are you the guy I met in Leamington several years ago who also thought he had the first customer Tamora? Mine is Estoril Blue and he said his was the same colour.

are you saying the button under the passenger door mirror is stuck in, as in the on position?

from memory the passenger door ecu also operates the boot lock soleniod, so if there is a fault with the door button then the boot wont work either. (I think thats right)

never come across problems with entry buttons, but a mate had problems with the buttons on the dash that were sticking on.

He means the button on the inside as I have had the problem on my Tamora. Carefully remove the surround covering the buttons and give it all a good clean as most of the time it's dirt in and around the buttons. Did it with mine and never had it again. It may be something more serious like ecu but I would start there.

Thanks Matt,
I took the switch out and discovered that some Numpty had packed the back of the push button. When the unit was tightened into the dash the micro switch behind the push was permanently depressed. Took off the packing and it works perfectly!
