I keep getting an "EFI fault Code 4" appear then disappear. Does anyone know what it is referring to ?
I also have real problems re-starting when the engine is hot - if it doesn't fire first time I have to leave it at least 30 mins (a tad embarrassing at time) - any ideas ??

Several of us get this error every time we start up. However, on my car at least once you clear it, the error won't show again until I restart.

Not sure about the hot starting I'm afraid.

IIRC Its a spike related to the fuel sensor on start up - problem has been solved with a new chip which your dealer should be able to install for you...

I suggest getting it into the dealer ASAP, on mine it was the head gasket.

I think its a common problem, mine did it for a while and went away after a bit. TVR lectrics for ya.

The only time I've had that fault indication was travelling last month at over 7,000 feet on the Sustenpass in Switzerland - not a real fault, but related to the low atmospheric pressure. Thanks to previous PH threads by others who had experienced this, it didn't worry me, and the fault indication cleared after descending the other side of the pass.
