Ok, this is driving me slightly mad. I've got a t350 and I find the water level goes up and down a lot (2-3 inches) , although I don't use any water. is this normal? I don't have any overheating issues according to the gauges.

I have topped the expansion tank up to halfway before and then checked again after a run and let it cool and the level had moved to the top. I left it like this as I thought it might drop, but when I was giving it some beans the water came out of the cap.

also incase I get a question I do have a new rad and new expansion tank cap.

What are other peoples experiences on the level movement?

They find their own level. Too full and it spits it out of the cap.

Thanks guys, it dropped to 2cm in the bottom of expansion tank so got a bit worried. I think/hope I've got a really sweet engine which would be a shame to reck just because I didnt get the fluid levels right.
