After 2 years of ownership I've waved Goodbye to my TVR.. It's been by far the most fun car I've ever owned to date, while being the most frustrating at the same time.

Now the happy owner of a BMW Z4M.

Not quite the same performance but not far off, the BMW 3.2 straight 6 engine is really sweet, and all the mod cons are nice to have again smile

Nice, used to have a Z4 before the T350 and enjoyed it.

Would be tempted with a Z4M in future if I needed something slightly more sensible.

I like the Z4... Long bonnet small back end justg like a T350, Tuscan, or Sagaris....
Nice example... and its one of the great engines the S54 (i think thats what it is !)

This reminds me of the Haynes book on the tvr story , people got fed up with warranty claims which weren't being honoured so bought a teutonic car instead ie bmw , thats one of the main reasons why the sales dried up. Very sad indeed.cry

what do you think of the Z4 M - I had a Z3 M years ago and tried one of these when I was thinking of selling my M3 (gone now) I found the gearbox a bit frustrating at times - so I bought another M3 - then sold couple of X5 4.8s and now I have the M5 tourer to complement the Sagaris

Funny, I swapped a Z4 Coupe for a T350C too. I only bought the Z4 becasue it reminded me of the lines of the TVR, but I had to have something "sensible" at the time.

It was a lovely car, great in every measurable way. But its funny, after 6 weeks in London with the T350, I feel more of a bond with it than I did after 2 years with the Beemer - despite track days, trips through Snowdonia, the Alps, SW France...

I honestly wish you well with it. I always regretted not buying the M version. Hopefully that will make all the difference.

Had a Z4 3.0. It's just feels boring compared to a TVR T350. Costs the same to service, hairdresser comments smile Far too many on the road, no more second glances or nods of respect tongue out

tongue out lol, I looked at an m before the 350, it is a nice car, tbh it's probably the only one I would get if not a tvr. tongue out had to scratch itch though after z4. Get some Remus exhausts on back to make it sound better, only advice smile

Thats is true especially if it is your only transport but you forgot the one no more that would stop most of us going down that route

No more sense of occassion.

Hope you enjoy it, it looks nice, great shape for a car and will hopefully tick all the boxes you need it to.

I like the Z4M. A lot. Unfortunately I'm too tall for the sports seats (left knee/dash interface - notice the new model has a cutout section of dash here). Thus I had to buy a 3.0SE Z4. That was a lovely car for mincing around in, only ruined by the ride quality. Ditching the runflats would have solved that, but I didn't keep the car long enough. Reason? I sold it to buy my T350T back again! LOL!
