I have a JP back box (stainless steel) and cat-back big bore exhaust pipes in stainless steel if you're interested. These were all fitted by the factory when new (my T350 is red rose spec hence the larger bore exhaust). All in good but used condition - I beleive I have some photo's I can send to you if you're interested. I took the JP and pipes off because I had a custom made system made up which is more to my likeing aurally. Drop me a line if you're interested.

Getsis - I'm not a fan of the look of the blue flame.

S5 - I don't think the T350 JP will fit as the mounts are in the wrong place.

If i was to replace my pipes with the larger bore mentioned above, would i need a re-map, i don't know if this is relevant, but it is decatted with a "Power/RG" type back box.

Sorry, I saw the pic of the t350 in your profile and assumed you still had it

My guess would be that bigger bore pipes by themselves wouldn't necessitate a re-map but changing the back box and de-chatting would be more likely to.

I have a full Act big bore system from the cats back, Jason at Str8six said it did not require a remap after fitting. I still have the cats fitted. The car feels like it is breathing a lot more freely at the top end of the rev range, just as Jason said it would.

I'm sure a remap would result in a further improvement, but you should be fine without.

When you say the T350 JP system won't fit the Tam, would that be the whole system or just the back box - I would actually like the larger bore pipes for both the potentially improved breathing and hopefully a more bassy sound

Hanger positions for the tail box are different on the T350

Ok thanks Shep, i guess if i just want a larger bore (2.5"??) from decats to back box i'll need a bespoke system, what is your "stupid loud" set up?

Sounds like you just need the full Tamora JP system. There are clips on here of mine. No remap was required.

You could always use the Red Rose setup, but the lads at JP reckoned the bore was overly large for the application.

Without becoming an exhaust bore if you pardon the pun, but mine is already well over 120dB - the back box is a copy of the TVR Power version fitted to the original centre sections, so don't want to go to the expense of replacing the whole system. Just wondered if increasing the pipe diameter would deepen the sound and aid breathing scratchchin Think i'll just do it and see what happens.

Going on what JP said when they designed the system, a standard engine won't benefit at all from even bigger bore, and it could have a detrimental effect; I certainly can't grumble with what they achieved (but I didn't want it to be too loud).

Ok fair enough, although having spoken to the garage i'm now confident it won't need re-mapping if i change the mid-section, unless i drive it on the rev limiter all the time, which i don't. Good sound on the vids by the way, the catted version has a nice purposeful rumble, just not loud enough for a saddo like me smile

Racing Green super sport cans (same as Powers cans) + ACT decats, all fitted to std centre section pipes. 127db loud - it will satisfy your noise requirements trust me. You will hear/see me at Chatsworth
