Had to take the 18" spiders off the Tamora this afternoon as I had to swap the rear wheels to the fronts and some newly refurbed wheels put on the back etc

To save going back and forth to my local tyre place with various new wheels and tyres I fitted a set of Racelines from the Cerb, as a temporary measure.

I think that for track days 16" spiders seem to be the norm. Has anyone tried 17" Racelines? Will they foul anything or upset the geometry?

Sort of yes. On the T350 though...

They fit, they're just not optimal offsets, so the rears are deeper in the arches than they should be and the rear track runs a slightly narrower track. There is no rubbing and we did an event on ours (sprint) without problem, except getting a bloody puncture on the way to the event!!

16" spiders are totally rubbish though. Worth selling them, to me, cheap. wink

I was after a set of 16's spiders myself. Just happened to have a set of 17" racelines spare for the Cerb. Just thought I would try 'em on.

We currently have a spare set of 18 spiders and a set of racelines at the moment biggrin

I think you could 'correct' the rear RL7's with a spacer, IIRC they're ET35ish all round, whereas the 18" spiders (on the Tcars atleast) are 42Front/ 33Rear. The 16's are different again, but still staggered (different rim width changes the offset in the case of these!)

Basically, a small spacer on the rears could help, but if you're not too bothered about driving at 10/10ths, they'll be fine as is, they may just look a little odd, but then again, so do 16" spiders at first!!
