Hi guys

I've just swapped my beloved Griff for a T350t and only have extremely positive things to say about it! I think a profile name change is in order....

A couple of pics from the top of the Cat & Fiddle and back at home after Chatsworth (which was a bit nippy, it has to be said, although it turns out the heater is great)

It's a 2005 one - the private plate's coming off - and it does seem to have a decent list of bits. Nitrons, JP exhaust, air con, new close ratio box and 2.91 diff, and shadow chrome wheels. Plus a fuel filler nozzle that seems to work ok so far....!

I bought it from Track V Road and honestly couldn't have been treated better. Craig and Richard were so accommodating and have genuine integrity. They dashed around so I could pick it up for Chatsworth and were unfailingly polite.

I do have one quick query if anyone can help. I had an Accumate already, and Craig gave me a cigarette lighter adaptor. When I plug it in though, it flashes up the LED that suggests the terminals have been wrongly connected. Does anyone have any clues? It's definitely on 12v, not 6v, and worked fine for the Griff.

Thanks
Dave

Stunning looking car, I thought it was the same colour as mine for a minute but it's a different shade (mines brilliant silver). Really liking it with the shadow chrome wheels, which is good because mine are being refurbished in that shade - glad to see they suit the car. Enjoy it - make sure you follow the correct warming up procedures though! It's a very different car the the RV8s and took me a while to get used to it. I still miss the low down torque but get that S6 spinning and it really sings smile

It's a lovely car Dave, just a shame you were too much of a big girl to cope with the lack of power steering in the griff anymore. Enjoy the new car, if Heidi lets you drive it. She seemed quite attached to her new car so I am not sure you will get a chance to drive it.

Thanks v much and yes, I'm fully briefed and will stick to it religiously. Once it's warm it just pulls and pulls...the v8's instant grunt was addictive but I think this is more so!

You bugger, I thought you'd be mucking out Sara's horse....!

I was struggling to get my guns into my work shirtsleeves, so thought power steering was the way to go.

Let's be honest Dave, you drive like a big girl. You might as well hand it back to Heidi, at least it stands a chance of being driver properly. Right! I'm going to slink of back to the chim forum.

Well that put me in my place smile. It really is a lovely car, I had a good look round it up at Track v Road whilst waiting for Dave to drag his ass out of bed and come and collet it. It's a very clean example. However, I still think Dave should have gone with my plan, keep the old RV8 car as well. Another 12m and having both should be a reality for me. Fingers crossed.

Nice - the T cars are very different from the RV8's, aren't they? Only thing is, are you sure about the diff ratio? 3.91 would probably be it.

Welcome to this section! smile

It is a 3.91. He's a lawyer, doesn't do numbers.

Doh....yes, 3.91.

Thanks and I do feel very privileged! I'm planning to try my best to keep it in great condition-having a garage helps although I established last weekend that it's definitely waterproof!

Been there, done that too..... but haven't change profile name. Was out last night, quite cool so oil temp didn't rise above 50, took it easy. I do miss the burble of the V8 but not missing not having power steering.

Welcome to the S6 world Dave. That car does indeed look fantastic - you beat me to it by about 20 minutes!

Hi there, lovely motor.

Relating to the fag lighter problem, has the same issue with mine after a full re-trim. Understand it's easy to connect back to front given they are simple spade connectors. A simple solution than removing the centre tunnel was to buy a cheap 3 way adaptor on line and simply cut the supply end and reverse, neg to pos - pos to neg.

All good now and will correct properly when I get round to fix the reverse light switch issue. Only use mine to power my camera detection equipment / satnav, charger connects via anderson lead.

Given you bought from a reputable dealer, suggest you talk about them fixing the problem, giving it's just a time issue, no real cost.

Have fun!

Brilliant, thanks mate. The battery's being kept well topped up at the moment with all the driving, but it's really good to know.

The comments are really appreciated. A neighbour's just been round to ogle, and other driver's attitudes towards it seems very good. The Griff was the same, but it's dark grey so less obvious until you heard it. In an ideal world I would have kept it - driving it was such an event, even at 10 miles an hour - but I'm chuffed to bits with the T350.

Thats a cracking looking car.

I did it the other way around.

I sold my beloved T350T and went for a Griff.

Enjoy it. They are fantastic cars.
