1 Down & 1 to go 350c or T
Discussion
Hi all, even with my f---- up back its been a good couple of weeks TVR wise, i've converted two more friends after recent Spa Trips and passenger rides,
so in the last few weeks we have picked up a very nice 4.5 cerb! thanks Simon. We have also been looking at several T350's!
Oh and 5 of us have booked up for the ring in October followed by a couple of days round Spa so happy road trips to look forward to later in the year :]
What we are really in the market for is a well modded car T or C preferably a 4lt or upwards with a power or str8six re-build and the other usual track day upgrades shocks, diff, tyres etc!
I know they are few and far between but i found mine in even better trim than described above so just thought i'd put this out there in case someone was in two minds about selling there pride and Joy!
We have already viewed the 4lt red rose in the classifieds and can confirm its a real peach and a very tidy example! just to many owners and miles on the car for the money imho [well my friends money anyway]
One good thing to come out of this bad back is i was told i can't be lifting the old dogs into the back of the X5 anymore so after 4 years of great ownership me and the 4.8is are parting company!
The upside is i've persuaded the wife we need a Touring so i do not need to lift the dogs up anymore and still have room for the kids!
So as of this week the new family car is a E61 M5 [507hp standard] Let the tuning begin!

Hi Richard, Look forward to meeting you at Spa, looks like you have to run the silly cans like me! What rear section is on yours? I'm making104.5db with the cans on
Hi Christian, Yes be good to meet a fellow T350 owner on track. Really looking forward to Spa, not been there before and missed it in April.
Funnily enough my exhaust system is currently standard and when that photo was taken it was definetly overkill as it only made 96db at 5,250 rpm! When I went back next time (Brands) I didn't bother with them and it made 94

I take it your running decats and a sports exhaust? I'm currently having a JP large bore system fitted to help my 4.3 breathe better so the silencers will be needed then! I love the noise but also love track days so it's a problem!

Trust me the system will transform your driving experience, more of a sense of occasion and the over-run is just silly!Funnily enough my exhaust system is currently standard and when that photo was taken it was definetly overkill as it only made 96db at 5,250 rpm! I had the blue flame on before with no cats and got through a 105db day no problem , but the noise was not enough for me! the big upside was i really feel the car runs loads better with the sports system on, just feels less stifled!
You are going to love SPa it's just epic, a good set of track tyres makes a big difference on the day!
Don't worry about the noise levels JP Exhausts can make up pretty much anything you need silencer wise.

I hope so as I'm sending them back my silly cans so they can custom fit them to the large bore system so I can still use them. I was running RG cans but returned to standard to ensure the noise level for track wouldn't be a problem. Since fitting the crazy 4.3 the exhaust is stifling it a lot. I can't wait to try Spa, every corner seems a real challenge especially Eau Rouge and Pouhon. I'll seek you out for advice!I had the blue flame on before with no cats and got through a 105db day no problem , but the noise was not enough for me! the big upside was i really feel the car runs loads better with the sports system on, just feels less stifled!

I'm currently burning through a set of R888 so they should suit Spa then unless I wear them out before then. If so I might try the Federal 595s. What were you running at Spa?

P&P won't be the same again with us lot going back and forth over the bridge!
Just a little update! After leaving London yesterday morning i collected the M5 from Bolton and continued on to Bingley in West Yorkshire, after a short inspection and a little test drive the SW London TVR posse has a new member!! Big thank you to Simon for the hospitality and keeping the car in such A1 condition. The car is a 2005 factory red rose t350 with only 10,000 miles on the clock, complete with a beautiful set of carbon targa roof inserts!
Eventually got home at 1am!
All done with a torn herniated disk and plenty of diazepan, now got a stinking cold to boot and stuck in bed :[
