Hi Forum, my first post wink

I'm interested in this car http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3864393.htm

I haven't contacted the dealer yet but do you guys think? I'm a newbie to TVR so would appreciate some advice please and what to look out for.

In my opinion, externally it looks absolutely stunning but the interior a little drab to others I've seen pictured.

I know this car has been on the site for a little while as it was listed near the end when viewing by age but its now back on top.

I live in the South East so if you could give me some advice before/if I travel up to see the monster that would be great smile

Any comments much appreciated.

Many thanks
Neil.

The car looks nice, I like more subtle interiors personally, not much help! But good luck in your search, absolutely NO other car like them smile

I think it looks really nice.
You can do a complete retrim of the entire cabin for around £3,000, so to add a bit of colour here and there won't set you back too much.
Besides, I think I'd get tired very quickly of anything too blarey.

Personally I prefer T350's anyway ;-)

Hi Neil, welcome.
Although I have not had any dealings with TrackVroad myself, I know several people who have, and they have one of the best repretations in the TVR world. With a 12k service completed and a 12 month warranty included, I would be up there viewing it without delay. You really need to see these cars in the flesh, but if you do, you will buy it, believe mehehe
As with any car purchase buy on condition and make sure it has a full documented history. Ask to speak to the previous owner, most people in the TVR community would be more than happy to tell you about their cars. Get to some local club meets etc, there is a weath of knowledge out there. good luck.

Don't know the car personally but Track V Road have a very good reputation on here, new clutch and service along with the warranty should mean you are getting a well set up car with plenty of peace of mind. Interiors are very personal things, I like that one but in the grand scheme of things you can change bits fairly easily to give it a mark of your own. Again a personal thing but the seats in that one are much better suited to push on driving than the Tuscan seats found in a lot of cars.
Speak to the guys up there and see what they came across while doing the service and what they think to the engine in particular.
When you have done all that open your cheque book and buy it, don't think you will reget it.

In short, yes. Would really love one myself. I use TvR and they have always been great. If you are interested in the car give Rihard a call and I am sure he will give you an honest view.

Could never afford it of course, but I had a look around and a sit in that car last time I was over there. It is absolutely immaculate. As for the guys at Track, I can vouch for their work, it is absolutely top drawer. They have worked wonders on my Cerb and would have no qualms in recommending the guys there.

Absolutely, categorically, from that dealer, YES !!!

I do not know the car personally, but someone on here will, most likely, so as long as you can afford the price of the car, and can afford to run it, insurance/maintenance etc (with a reasonable sum of £££ for each years running costs (budget 2k min + petrol) and understand that as great as they are, they are not a refined, production line euro car, you won;t regret it.

TrackVRoad = TOP Blokes.

Edited to add - I live South East now (Ascot) but still use them to look after my car, which is a Sag, so if you want to catch up, have a chat over a beer, and a "passenger experience" hehe before you go to view it, just let me know and I'm sure you can buy me a beer somewhere... beer

It's a good car, I have been to see it and nearly bought it. It has also had a engine rebuild at racing green plus new shockers at TvR. It used to be jxt car from here. Lots of peace of mind and TvR are top. Do it!

Like said above TvR have a great reputation. I remeber the original thread Jxt started when he got the car. Don't worry about it being your first TVR theres nothing wrong with that. Have a good look on condition of interior but other than that just make sure TvR have had a good look. Check the service history etc then you can always have a chat with the guys that have serviced it. Only you can decide if you want it. We got one 2.5 years ago and have no regrets, We could sell it for profit but we have not which must tell you something. Its a bloody fantastic car and never makes you stop smiling.

Hi guys

Thanks for all of your replies. Very very help and an exciting insight into life as a TVR owner smile

I spoke to Craig at TvR today and like you have all said, very helpful.

RedSpike, thank you very much for your kind offer of a passenger experience but rather annoyingly I’m off to Germany early next week for 4 weeks so will have to decline frown

I’ll keep you guys posted

Many thanks again, Neil

Buy it and drive it for a year or two first... colour/interior can be done later...

Oi - nothing wrong with Brilliant Silver!! Man of no taste smile
Though I do agree in a sense as the Sags suit the brighter colours best.

The car is a beauty I had a really good look over it when i had some work done on my Tusc S. I had my old Tam interior changed, its not a problem but i would say as above drive it and live with it for a while and then see what other variations are around.
I use Track V Road and always find them to be honest, efficient and really good value for money.I drive from Watford area.
Their cars are always prepared to a very high standard. This Sag is in super condition, go see it.
ps take hobnobs biscuits with you !!!

If you're travelling a fair distance, and you like red, why not continue up to see Tonys at HHC?

I seen this car in the flesh a few weeks ago when i stopped in on the way home from Chatsworth for a geo set up for my Cerb.

Great Guys at T v R , and a very nice looking car, I did how ever prefer the T350 Parked across from caught my eye right away. A stunning red interior trimmed by baillies in Glasgow regarded as the best trimmers and the paint was spectraflair silver really stunning car.
