Tam ciggy lighter socket live all the time!

have just set up my Road Angel 2 in my Tam, plugged it in, and I get Tiff Needal's voice, with the ignition off!
Is this permanently on mode for the use of trickle chargers and such like?
(Just scared the hell out of me, hearing Tiff that load!!!) lol

Yep, it's normal. Otherwise our trickle chargers wouldn't work. It's not going to harm anything unless you stick it into the socket, thus creating a flow of charge

Makes life a lot easier when you're trying to find a permanent live feed for the stereo memory etc.

Is it easy to hardwire the Road Angel, so that I could free up the lighter socket, and has anyone done this themselves?

Excellent , cheers Rolex, the adaptors look perfect! I never even knew they exsisted!!
