Shipping?

My car is being loaded up in a container this week to be shipped abroad. Im told I need to disconnect battery, however I then thought this causes issues with door opening etc, and being inconvenient compared to a regular car with jacks etc.

Anyone else shipped theirs or have any thoughts?

Jam the boot lock so it does not close? The huge weight will make the boot stay down anyway and then in case needed someone could always crawl in through the back.

With the windows open, are the red handles usable? Does it do any harm to use them (i.e. are they emergency use one time only type things)?

They are not one time only. I test mine every year to make sure they work.
