Ah. There was a hint of irony in my words John smile. Thought I'd share it as it made me laugh this morning. Obviously at no expense of the unfortunate person whos car it was.

Do they really believe they can do that repair (parts and GRP) all in for less than 2k? What sort of dream world do they live in?

At that price, I would have to question how good an outfit they are. Or is it a case of once you have taken the bait and paid. They then come back and hit you with the cost of the repairs to the rest of the car! That said, I would have thought its down to you to ask the right questions in the first place.

My fav line: 'Car starts and drives'

Regardless of the huge risks that one or more of the cylinders may have been starved of oil through the crash.... who the hell wants a speed six engine that's been driven around without a radiator fitted!

I get the irony, but actually, if the car was mint, and it's only a bit of cosmetic fibrglass damage, then it's better to mint pre accident that 'average' or a bit tired' pre accident.....

But then I would say that having just bought a very similar (though not as badly damaged) Tamora as a project car.

And yes it was advertised as 'mint pre shunt' and yes, the glass is damaged, so it's a bit of a gamble but there is no chassis or suspension damage I could detect, the interior is mint including pedal box, steering wheel etc, and the mechanicals including engine seemed very sound. Ideal candidate for a T350 panel swap I hope!
