Tamora wont start after flat battery
Discussion
Hi
help needed as have just been soaked in the rain tonight!
I stripped out my alarm box and immobiliser box and sent it away to Carl Baker to get re-coded and get a new remote for my alarm etc - but while this was out of the car the battery has went flat. Tonight when I came home from work I had received my parts back from Carl and fitted them fine. Moved car out of the garage (pushed) onto the street to charge car from a VW Golf that I have been using while the Tam has been off the road. connected the Anderson connector and nothing. I know the leads work as they have been used before. As luck would have it, my roof is locked in my boot, and of course (living in Scotland) the rain started pouring down! managed to get a couple of neighbours to help me push it back into the garage.
Am I missing something obvious - jump leads were on for some time and absolutely nothing, doors dont open, not a single light in the dash etc. the only thing that does still flash is the LED next to the wing mirror adjustment.
all suggestions welcomed as I am very perplexed!

This may help? http://web4.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
I have sent you an email on how to re-set the immob and how to retrieve your roof from the boot. Your battery might well be kippered which is why it won't take a charge. There is also a fuse in the PS footwell that feeds the fuse board, but as the alarm has power I would guess this is OK

Cheers shep. Got ur email.
I'll have another go tonight, needing to take the front n/s wheel off to get it at the battery, and charge directly on to that - not 100% sure if my Anderson connection has been replaced or not at some point, and as such might be corroded. So I'll be inspecting that tonight also.

Often after recharge the systems need a re-boot. With battery connected, disconnect terminals to fuse in passenger footwell, leave for a minute or so and reconnect.Shep
