T350 Targa Wind Noise

Hi, my 2003 T350 Targa has quite noticeable wind noise even at low speeds. The targa panels also constantly squeak over bumps. Can anyone advise me on the best way to fix this?

I seem to recall reading about upgraded targa latches and seals. What parts to I need to improve matters?

I am in Australia so there are no other cars to compare mine with.

Guessing you have the catches at the sides of the panels, later models have hooks at the front and catches at the back. I can only suggest trawling the usual sites like tvrpower or clever trevor etc to see if they do aftermarket catches.

Thicken the foam lining (i'm going to do this at the weekend, to see if it reduces the noise if I fit my panels incorrectly (normally no issues), might help? Have you checked different positons for the panels, that helps no end

I use to put black insulation tape along the front edge seal. Bit of a fiddle when you wanted to remove panels as tape needs to be re applied when you put panels back, but it worked a treat. I later changed from side fixing clips to front and rear clip but still found that I needed the tape !

Will have a chat to you on Saturday if you're still heading to Mat's? My panels (pax one especially) whistle over 80 leptons and are incredibly annoying when you don't get them fitted just so.
