Anyone know this T350? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/4176687.htm Been on the look out for a while now and this one seems really good value, quite a trek down for me so would appreciate any information on the vehicle if possible.
Thanks in advance for any info.(not sure if ive done the link correctly, apologies if I haven't, but basically it's the T350 at Sports and Prestige Centre in Slough)

The links fine. I don't know any thing about the car.but it looks in fine fettle. I think the price reflects the whats called 'high mileage' in TVR terms for me it would be a goer as long as the service history checks out and the most important part of any service history is not the service book been stamped thats easy to get done buts the file of bills itemising the work thats been cared out on the car.

Looks stunning! I cant believe people think this is high milage, the speed six likes to be used. As long as its got a good service history it looks like a bargain.
I agree - it does look to be a bit of a bargain it has to be said!If the history is good then to me the mileage would not be a concern.
Thanks for the reply's everyone, a friend of mine lives in Reading and is hopefully going to give it a look over today and if all is well i'll travel down tomorrow assuming it hasn't been sold by then, fingers crossed, regretted selling my Chim last year and been desperate for another TVR ever since.

Made the long trek down on bank holiday friday, absolute night mare.
A few issues with the car, a few scratches here and there, nothing major, drivers side headlight had been off at some stage and not put back on very well, ticked over from cold very lumpy and if I put the AC on the engine nearly stalled.
All this aside the worst thing was the service history, although the book had a few stamps in it there was absolutely no supporting paper work or receipts.
Tried to phone the servicing garage but went straight to answer phone.
SO, I've walked away.
Thanks for all the helpful advice everyone, the search goes on.

The S6 is proper lumpy when cold and a near stall if the A/C is switched on is common as the engines do drift out of tune. Easy fix at the garage just needs the throttles & idle speed setting. Its not uncommon either for the lenses over the headlights to lift and it dose look a bit nasty. Again easy fix with a little time and patience. Who was the servicing garage? might still be worth a punt and a tool to get the price down a little if the servicing garage is known to the TVR world and can comment on the cars history. Should be at least 7 stamps in the book.A few issues with the car, a few scratches here and there, nothing major, drivers side headlight had been off at some stage and not put back on very well, ticked over from cold very lumpy and if I put the AC on the engine nearly stalled.

You know, that doesn't sound so bad... As shep says, the engines are rough as a bag of nails when they're cold, and mine will stall even without any AC fitted. You need to keep 1500rpm for about 30 seconds or so to get a bit of warmth in there before it will go by itself. There are a number of new ECUs like the Syvecs for example that have addressed this issue as its the same for all Speed 6's.
On the headlights, they do come off quite easily as they are only held on with silicone. I have removed and replaced them myself in about an hour (most of the timeis cleaning the old silicone off). This is fortunate, as I broke one the other day when a random lump of wood got flung into my path on the motorway.
I would have thought you could get the garage to sort out the headlight and the scratches as part of the deal? Maybe they could give you a warrenty too? All the TVR specialists offer 12 months. (But charge approx £3,000 more for a similar car)

No offence but thats rubbish and I'd suggest your car isn't set up to cold idle properly. Mine will sit at 800 straight from cold and I have no fancy ECY.There are a number of new ECUs like the Syvecs for example that have addressed this issue as its the same for all Speed 6's.

Car looks nice , if your not happy you should walk away , although if your looking for a TVR you must be prepared to travel and if you want a perfect T350 expect to pay another 5k+ . as for service history i started a thread last week about service intervals , its easy for a new owner to want the perfect history you may not always get it , a bit more research may reveal its better than you think . Find the owners and dealers that know the car if you can .A few issues with the car, a few scratches here and there, nothing major, drivers side headlight had been off at some stage and not put back on very well, ticked over from cold very lumpy and if I put the AC on the engine nearly stalled.

Best of luck .

My T350 runs fine from start up and can put the A/C on straight away with no stall issues - it's a 2006 model so I don't know if they made any changes.
If you are not happy I think that you are correct to walk away. I did think that the price was very good. Have you tried looking at Tony Gilbert's site. He has a very nice 2003 car at around £21k and his cars are always very nice.
I have recently bought my car from him and his service was first class.
Cheers

I'm amazed that these 'specialist' dealers can't get their facts right, even simple things.... "Blue Metallic With Grey Leather Convertible".... First convertible I've ever seen where the roof doesn;t fold down !! Numpty ! And it's got 19" spiders !
And all that wibble about warm up and no problems ever ?? How does he know that ??
Does look in nice condition tho, so if the price is considerably less than others, not a lot of money to fix what you said is 'wrong'... a full 12k service at str8six or trackvroad and a paint detail and away you go.. but worry is service history... Who wouldn't keep all the documents/receipts for a car like this ??

None taken. Its a helpful remark! Hmm, It was serviced recently buy RG, but has just always done that. I always assumed it was a character trait.
Especially as the Syvecs/Power ECUs specifically talk about their cold start programmes.
So what may be the issue with mine?
