Weren't some of the old guys from the factory making smaller rear spoilers and re angled brackets, can't remember their name, (something like PDQ developments), were the same Co, that were putting the black inserts in the vents? JPAjanwell had one on his?

Edward Quick is the Q in PDQ developments - he cut out my and JPA's vents as well as a number of others. He did / does different brackets for the rear spoiler which as you say are angled - I did not buy them as they were not an ally finish like the OEM but the angle was way better so I had mine cut down instead.

Increases top speed, but reduces stability slightly in fast (over 70mph) corners.
The factory found with a prototype ally panel at Croft that it needed to be that height to reduce lift at the rear enough to be noticeable. I certainly found a noticeable difference on track between not having it on a T350 and having a full-size one. Before, on the limit of grip but a steady throttle in an 80+ corner it was
Depends on your priorities

whilst giving dream rides with the sporting bears at carfest a few weeks ago, a young lad of 11 came out in the car, and it turns out he is the son of John Stanton, who worked at the factory and was involved in the developent of the speed 12 and the sagaris among other things, I had a good chat with John and we discussed the rear wing and he told me that it should be left well alone, the reason for it being there was that because of the hump in the roof on the drivers side, caused a change to the aerodynamics, so the car was off balance on one side at speed and high speed corners, the introduction of the rear wing managed to cancel this effect making the car more stable.
so it seems TVR did carry out the right testing and its there for a purpose.
