Standard Alarm/immobiliser. Cat 1?

Hi Guys just a quick one, the standard alarm/immobiliser in the Sag, is it Thatcham Cat 1?

Yes it is Neil, I've got a copy of the factory letter stating so, if you buy a car and it's not already in the paperwork I'll send a copy to you.

Be careful, from memory there is a slight glitch in the argument.

The hardware is standard Thatcham Cat 1, but to claim to be a Thatcham Cat 1 system it has to be installed by an authorised Thatcham Cat 1 installer. The factory was not the latter.

The letter from the factory therefore uses its words carefully, so use this wording if you are asking for an insurance quote.
