I quite often get a hell of a rattle (usually starts at around 90mph) in the drivers side door, pretty sure it's down to the window, but even with the window down, the door will vibrate (to a lesser extent) on it's own.. the passenger's side doesn't get this issue - any ideas?

Hi there,

May well be the small nuts that keep the window guide track in place have worked loose given drivers door gets more use than the other, mostly

Simply remove the door card by taking out the 3 screws you get to through the access holes on the underside of the door. The card simply sits in the chrome strip along the door top so pull out slightly and down, should come off fairly easily. There is a rubber seal covbering the entire door that will need pulling back leaving the window runners and mechanism on plain show, check all nuts are tight as mine were at best finger tight on most, especially the tiny M6 nuts that hold track in place. Worth a try and is a simple DIY job that will only take a few minutes

Worked a treat on mine and now the door closes with a clunk rather than a rattle and window stays nice and still up the legal 70 mph and beyond should I find a closed road!

Mine too, just some of the time. Sometimes will squeek for 10 minutes then not for 10 minutes then squeek again all on the same journey - similar roads all the way. I just put it down to being a TVR but if anyone does know any fixes I would like to know because when it is squeeking it is bloody anoying.
