Hi folks

Does anyone know what car/manufacturer the wiper control system on a Sagaris comes from?

The wiper assembly comes from Matador, but not sure where the control system came from.

Thanks!

Is it an electronic black box? If it is they probably built it themselves.

No info, that's why I was seeing if anyone did. biggrin

I would have suspected they just reused another system, but if it is a bespoke system, then I'll have to reverse engineer it I guess once I get the Sag back.

Have a word with Paul or Heath from X-Works they work with Paul Smith who did most of the electronics for TVR.

My park wiper has stopeed working on my intermitant wipers. Is it the same control box that controls that.

With the normal caveat of me being new to TVR ownership, the control box isn't an ECU or anything, it's a selection of concentric circle contacts (for want of a clearer description!). Clean up the contacts with a bit of emery cloth, lever them up a bit to give them more springiness and repack with grease. I had wiper parking problems and this solved it for me.

Bought a controller system from the US which has been integrated into the existing system to drive it better. Tested it yesterday in the rain while driving back from MK, works fine and the manual override that Skip put in place on the wiper controls works a treat as well.

Not too sensitive and comes on when needed if wanted.

Who said you can't make TVRs updated to modern standards?

Generally you can swap over the standard Ford wiper arms to the one with the variable speed intermittent wipe as its just controlled from a resistor inside I believe.

You'd need to modify the stainless covers though.
