Just wandering if anyone knows it? Price is ridiculously cheap (14.8k) and the ad just reads very dodgy.

It is a CAT B write off and you cannot get it insured by anyone, been and looked it needs a complete respray, rads are bent and needs renewing, inside very tatty and wet every where, plus a few other bits needs replacing would make a great trackda car but that is about ithttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TVR-T350-/180984870289?_...
You would not have to do too much home work, it has no history, no handbook and on the logbook it will it has had major repairs, shame as I would brought it if I could have got it insured but even then the money and time you would need to spend on it it just would be worth it and it will always say on log book taht it has had major repairs and if you had an accident in it you would not get paid out
I went along with Billy no brakes for a look, the car was very low mileage, the chassis did look to be in mint condition, couldn't see any damage to it, all the suspension pickups were in good condition but the steering wheel was sitting at 90 degrees to the direction. As mentioned the rad and air con condenser were bent, the thing that worried me was there was no chassis plate on the inner wing, the chassis number was stamped in the usual place but the numbers didn't look much in line, but then I've seen that on other TVR chassis'
The weird thing for me was the fact it was a Cat B, one advantage of the poor workmanship of its rebuild is you can see where it’s been repaired, the car didn't look like it had been in that heavy a impact.
The guy got into the car, thrashed it down the road while the engine was cold, I had to tell him to slow down as couldn't hear or feel anything of what the car was doing.
The paint work was pretty bad, the rear screen didn't close, battery cover missing, small parts of trim missing like the seat adjuster alloy fitting.

Sounds heavenly, thrashing from cold, always a sign painful times ahead. The weird thing for me was the fact it was a Cat B, one advantage of the poor workmanship of its rebuild is you can see where it’s been repaired, the car didn't look like it had been in that heavy a impact.

First thing that stands out to me is the fact it has a old style reg plate on a car supposed to be registered in 2003/04! Sends alarm bells ringing before even looking at it.
That's OK actually. You're allowed "cherished" (or whatever, I wouldn't say that one is a particular asset!) plates that are older than the car of whatever format. You're not allowed newer plates.Noisy said:

I'm not sure I'd have got in it at all. I'm nervous sitting next to strangers in high powered cars at the best of times!!The weird thing for me was the fact it was a Cat B, one advantage of the poor workmanship of its rebuild is you can see where it’s been repaired, the car didn't look like it had been in that heavy a impact.

Its more the issue that its a Cat B rather than being a heap.
Cannot be a class B insurance loss. If it is, it cannot be sold as a complete car!click on the link and read.

Can this would be seller be reported in some way? He must at least be made to change his advert to read for parts only, and also declare the fact that it is a class B insurance loss!.........
