Evening,

I have an interesting issue on the rear windows of my T350. I had a respray recently and decided at the time to put in new rear quarter windows as the originals had been scratched from the inside. All went well and good, ordered new glass/plastic from Racing Green, they arrived but the glass is clear, no black edging. The paint team had some black vinyl/wrap stuck on the inside and the fitted the windows. It looked good for a few months but has slowly pealed off the glass and now looks horrid, plus its close to separating from the frame and popping off...

I've spent a few hours on the phone with the team trying to get a fix, but no result. They say they know of no-one that can colour the plastic and glue the inside to the frame without using vinyl on the outside.

here is what is looks like currently:

Does anyone have any suggestions on a fix?

Thanks,

J.

You have to paint the black edging onto the glass before fitting/sealing the same way as the headlights covers. I have done it before but can't remember what the trim paint was, hopefully someone else will be able to point you in the right direction.

When fitting a new front light cover. I masked up the inside of the perspex and then used a bit of 800 wet and dry, to give the paint a bit of a key. Then painted it with black smooth finish hammerite. Worked a treat.
