Bonnet Rattle

Im after getting some adhesive backed neoprene foam to put under the bonnet to stop rattles as mentioned in graham varley sagaris bible, what size thickness is best and also when can this be purchased from??

about 3mm thick, look in the plumbing section at b an q, got a 10m roll for about a tenner, it comes in rolls about 2" wide.
