Red Bull blue paint......
Discussion
You will find sometimes the paint code doesn't match what is on the car. There are subtle differences, or TVR used a completely different colour
Get the Paint Matched, with a Spectrometer. Most decent bodyshops will have one of these and they will use it to work out the best paint colour for your car, normally, using several samples, with different combinations of paint, until they feel it's right. They also test in different light conditions etc. From personal experience and from talking with others, it's better to use this approach, or check with the bodyshop this is their approach. Most quality places will do this
e.g. Chris Brown (Downham Market) or Rich from Peacock and Cookson (Coventry), who have both spruced up my car recently
It's also helpful to talk to them about how they apply the paint, although this is more peace of mine, as most places know how to do it e.g. mine was a 3 stage pearl, so ground coat, 3 pearl coats and 3 lacquer coats.
I hope you found this helpful. I'm sure someone else can add more
