I have a mild odour of Ron 98 in the T350 cabin from time to time, an acquired taste headache

The Rubber Fuel Hose connecting the Filler Cap and Tank is basically too short and through time, vibrations etc the hose \ jubilee clip fails to hold a good seal. Basically the hose is about an inch too short.

I’m considering replacing the rubber hose with a Fluoro Silicon Hose from the following supplier:
http://www.autosiliconehoses.com/silicone-hose-sho...

Would you utilise this? Has anyone else replaced the filler hose? If so what with?

Of course any other ideas welcomed?

Cheers

That looks suitable and for the price you probably can't go wrong. The only other option I could think of would be to cut the original hose in half and add in a section of ally pipe, but that's not very nice, more of a nasty emergency repair.

Cheers, I think I will give the Silicon ago, although will compare prices to a rubber hose. Will post the results once completed.

That would be nice, I'm convinced TVR installed such a appalling filler to give Joe public a chance to admire the car, whilst we wait endlessly dribbling fuel into the tank.

How many cars do you watch arrive, fuel, pay, stop and chat admire the car and ask how big is your tank? 2 on a good day smile
