Hi,

Thought I would pass on some info on these bad boys. Needed 4 new tires and thought I would upgrade to the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 for the 1's. Fortunately, they make the rears, but they don't make the fronts :/ 225/35/18 are not provided, so a bit of a bummer.

I'm therefore reverting back to my Eagle F1 Asymmetric 1's again, which they no longer make. My provider has the fronts and is now trying to source the rears (from stock) somewhere.

I've checked out a few posts on here for other options, with the Toyo T1R's (Mixed review), the Michellin Pilot Suport Sport, used by some mates who run Nobles (expensive), but wondered what the rest of you might have? I know it's relatively subjective :/

Spirited Driving and maybe a track day thrown in, but mostly road use.

Steve

You can still get the originals.

The Goodyear website also says you can get the Assy 2.

Yeah fronts not the problem, it's the rears 235/40/18. Bizarrely they do the F2 Rears and F1 Fronts, but not one of each now... I've a funny feeling, Goodyears will not be going on my car :/

Why not 255/35/18 on the rears?

The Assy 2 you can only get the rear for and not the front, they don't do 225 for front, that's the point.

Because i currently have 235/40/18? Is 245 or 255 an option? This still wouldn't help me with the tire predicatment, just a larger tire on the back :/

Looking on the Goodyear site they say they make them in that size which is strange as nowhere online seems to stock them.

True, one tyre dealer thought they might be in the UK in April, another that they wouldn't make them. Unfortunately I can't wait that long :/ winter tyres the focus at the moment I guess for manufacturers.

I did not really get what you meant; in your first post you mention the unavailability of the fronts but then in your second you say the problem is the rears. My post was meant to help if the latter was the case.

(Anyway I switched to the 255/35/18 Asy 2s)
