Hi All, I wondered if anyone can please assist?
My garage has told me the fan blower has given up the ghost.
I can order a new one from power, my question is how easy is it to fit. (Tamora)
If any one can give my any instructions or guidance I would be very grateful.
Many thanks
Paul

Hi there, replaced the brushes on my Tamoras fan motor when it gave up the ghost. It was a pain of a job, fiddly and time consuming.
The motor is secured in the nearside front wing and to get access to it you have to remove the battery and the fibreglass cover for the heater / aircon matrix which is on top of the nearside inner wing under the bonnet. You then pull the matrix to the side and should be able to look into the recess below where the matrix was (i think i had to use a small mirror) and see 4 crosshead screws which hold the fan housing to the inner wing.
Remove the screws and remove the motor via the access hole in the inner wing of the battery compartment. Refitting is the reverse.
If i remember correctly the motor is expensive to replace so well worth checking the brushes before splashing out. I got new brushes of a similar size from a domestic appliance spares shop and filed them to size. They have worked perfectly for the last 2 years and were worth the £5!
Best of luck.

As above, have the fan amplifier checked first (I think a garage talked me through it over the phone when it happened to me a few years ago), it's fairly easy to get to under the passenger side of the dash.
Failing that then go for the less accessible motor in the arch, either way, the fans are pretty pathetic in comparrison to modern euro box's. just open the windows
